At the summit, you will find a massive turquoise lake, about 700 meters wide and 200 meters deep, holding 36 million cubic meters of highly acidic water. The surreal scenery, combined with the crisp mountain air and surrounding pine forests, makes this one of the most unforgettable experiences in Indonesia.

  • Hike to the summit of Mount Ijen (approx. 2 hours)

  • 11:00 PM (Bali Time): Pick-up from your hotel in Pemuteran or Menjangan, 30-min drive to Gilimanuk Harbor

  • 11:30 PM (Bali Time): 1-hour ferry crossing to Ketapang Harbor, East Java

  • 12:45 AM (Java Time): Jeep transfer from Ketapang to Paltuding (Ijen Base Camp), approx. 2 hours

  • 2:00 AM: Arrive at base camp, enjoy hot drinks or light breakfast

  • 2:00 AM – 4:00 AM: Trek 3 km (approx. 2 hours) to the summit

  • 4:00 AM: Descend into the crater with your guide to witness the Blue Fire

  • 5:30 AM: Watch the sunrise over the crater lake

  • 7:00 AM: Hike back down to base camp

  • 7:30 AM: Return drive to Ketapang Harbor, stop for simple breakfast at a local restaurant

  • 9:30 AM: Ferry back to Gilimanuk

  • 10:30 AM: Transfer back to your hotel in Pemuteran

  • 11:00 AM: End of tour

  • Private transport (hotel pick-up/drop-off)
