Pemuteran is not only known for its beaches, hills, and underwater scenery, but also for its rich cultural and spiritual heritage. This tour invites you to explore three iconic temples that reflect the unique blend of Balinese history, tradition, and natural beauty.
Temples You Will Visit
1. Pulaki Temple
Pulaki Temple is the main temple of Pemuteran, set against a dramatic backdrop of hills. This temple is also home to a lively troop of grey macaque monkeys, making it a unique cultural and natural stop.
2. Pabean Temple
Located near the ocean, Pura Pabean is where local fishermen pray for safe voyages. The temple features a rare combination of Balinese and Chinese decorative styles. At the foot of the temple, next to the sea, lies Pura Segara — one of the oldest and simplest temples, marked by weathered stone figures.
3. Melanting Temple (Temple of Traders)
Dating back to the 15th century, this temple is dedicated to traders and businesspeople who seek blessings of good fortune. Perched on the slopes of Mount Pulaki and surrounded by lush forests and vineyards, Melanting Temple offers a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere. Visiting around 3–5 PM is ideal, as you can enjoy a serene environment and end the tour by watching the sunset from Pemuteran Beach.
